# Swim 10 Miles in July 2024 Challenge for Breast Cancer Now

Liz Batten, Product Manager at Aeromark is taking part in a challenge is to swim 10 miles throughout the month of July. 

 All the money raised will go towards helping [Breast Cancer Now](https://breastcancernow.org/get-involved/fundraising-events/virtual-events/swim-10-miles/) achieving their vision of a world where by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live, and be supported to live well.

While 10 miles might not sound a huge distance, Liz is doing the whole 10 miles using only front crawl and she only completed swimming lessons last year. 

Liz is completing the challenge by going to her [local swimming pool ](https://www.better.org.uk/leisure-centre/bedfordshire/kempston-pool)at 6am to fit in her swim before work. To complete the challenge, Liz will do 644 lengths of the pool! 

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the world. Over 55,000 people are diagnosed every year in the UK alone. Each one will face challenging treatment regimes. Grueling side effects, uncertainty, anxiety and fear.

Breast Cancer Now is steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. They offer support anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, they believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well.
