Inilex Inc., a Chandler-based maker of vehicle tracking devices, received the 2009 Product Value Leadership of the Year Award from consulting research firm Frost & Sullivan.
The award was for Inilex's SmartAlert and SkyWay products, which use global positioning system technology to track the location of vehicles.
The company markets the products as safeguards for parents who want to know where their children are travelling and as tools to recover stolen vehicles.
Users can log in to Inilex's Web site to look at information the systems compile.
"Inilex has a very high growth potential in the stolen vehicle recovery market," Frost & Sullivan Senior Research Analyst Sathyanarayana K said in a statement. "Its products fulfil an unmet need in automotive technology by offering value-added features over supplying competitors and nationwide coverage at a reasonable price."
