The response from the Freight Transport Association (FTA) to April’s increase in fuel tax could “push businesses over the edge.” Also faced with the looming burden of CO2 taxes, organisations need to be looking very closely at how to monitor and manage the efficiency of their mobile workforces, because if you can’t measure, you can’t manage. They can do this using vehicle tracking technology.
In order to monitor transport efficiency Fleet Managers need to be able to measure the really meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), using vehicle tracking, namely to understand where and why unnecessary miles are driven and the way in which all miles are driven.
